A well-designed, considered product saves in the long run. Environmentally friendly signage and products can be beautiful and often more exciting than conventional signage.
As with all leading manufacturing companies, we are keen to ensure that we push the boundaries with environmental initiatives. We have been active in ensuring that we make improvements in the way we work to ensure that we are using less energy as well as only using environmentally responsible materials and products in our production process.
Sustainable Signage Solutions

❋ Sustainable ProductsFor the end product to be considered sustainable, all components must be specified with deconstruction, recycling or re-use in mind.

❋ Sustainable InnovationsCompressing materials, such as natural plant parts and paper, can create remarkably durable substrates that can be used for signage.
Cobal Whole Life
A key consideration when selecting the most appropriate supplier is the sustainability of the whole proposition, not just the initial material choices, or manufacture. Many companies attempt to select materials or production processes that support sustainability, however Cobal go much further providing a whole life sustainability guarantee.
Cobal undertake to remove and collect every sign provided and then deconstruct them back to separated material types so that every part can be repurposed, or recycled correctly, avoiding the signs being treated as contaminated mixed waste and going to landfill.

We look for efficiency in projects we work on, ensuring all aspects are considered from materials to fixings and coatings, to the ability to reduce, reuse and recycle signs and minimise waste, and rationalising wayfinding schemes to keep quantities to a minimum.

Recyclable materials or products can be used at least once more. Recycled products are made from other, previously used materials.

We have implemented an initiative to use less packaging and, when we are installing vinyl graphics on site, the materials are transported in reusable containers which can be used for storage during the installation process, thereby eradicating the need for any during this process. All of our packaging materials are recycled and recyclable.
