To interpret client designs and aspirations and transform them into products with great visuals and thoughtful design.
How this role supports the delivery of our vision
To lead the industry in delivering brand experience in the built environment requires us to inspire our clients with thoughtful and exceptionally designed signage, wayfinding and placemaking elements.
We’re looking to grow our network of associate freelance designers, to support us in our growth.

We are looking for design professionals with a minimum of 3 years of experience, who share our passion for wayfinding and helping people navigate and connect with their environments and are eager to work on innovative signage, wayfinding, environmental graphics and placemaking projects, for blue-chip companies, global brands and in collaboration with leading architectural practices.
We are looking for the following skillsets:
- Graphic designers
- Product designers
- Wayfinding designers
- Environmental graphic designers
- Information designers
- CAD technicians (Autodesk Inventor, Creative suite, Revit and Keyshot)
We prefer our freelancers to be able to work from our friendly Newbury based studio on a full or part-time basis during project development.
Freelancers are expected to be highly motivated and passionate individuals, with the ambition and drive to deliver projects of the highest quality. They will work effortlessly with our team while being able to work effectively and efficiently on their own initiative.
Skills and responsibilities
Like us, you are driven by quality, have set a high bar and have a passion for your work. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of your field, backed up by a portfolio that underlines proficiency in your specialism. You will exhibit an ability to ideate, visualise and iterate strong design concepts.
Further skills include the ability to:
- Delivery of projects from conception to delivery with minimal supervision.
- Develop innovative design solutions for client deliverables.
- Relate design work to the client’s needs, and create relevant presentation materials.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with all team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilise software/tools relevant to your specialism, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, and/or Autodesk Inventor.
- Prepare technical design and production drawings to BS8888:1 for technical roles.
Requirements
Candidates will have worked for at least 3 years within the design industry, and be at middleweight or senior level. You will need to be available to work from within our Newbury studio on at least a part-time basis.
The role may require occasional travel to work at a client site or other locations as part of a project team providing solutions related to deliverables.
